Spark little minds’ imagination with our home corner and role-play resources!
At Eduzone, we’re passionate about learning through play! Role play is lots of fun, but it’s also a powerful tool for development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Not only does home corner role-play support children across all seven areas of early years learning, but it also provides a safe, familiar space where little ones can pretend play, and develop skills in a natural and exciting way - including building language, social skills, and confidence.
One of our favourite role play spaces is the home corner. Building imaginary meals develops both fine and gross motor skills, acting out real life routines helps little ones to understand social dynamics, and there’s lots of cross curricular learning though counting food items, or writing shopping lists. A familiar setting helps children explore real-life experiences, develop empathy, and strengthen their understanding of the world around them.
In this blog, check out some of our favourite home corner products and how you can apply them to multiple set-ups to keep your space fresh and exciting throughout the year!
