Meet James, Key Account Manager

Get to know more about the Eduzone team by meeting James, one of our new Key Account Managers!

Name: James de-Wit

Tell us a bit about your role at Eduzone:

Being a new member of the Eduzone team, my current focus is looking after a number of customer accounts and introducing our unique Nursery Group Package to nursery groups to help them save even more!

What did you get up to before joining Eduzone?

My background is sales and account management, which I started around 14 years ago in the insurance industry. When the house market crashed in 2008 I found myself redundant but through sheer determination I secured myself a role in the office supplies market, where I gained experience in the selling into SME businesses, key accounts and then schools and the education market - which is where I feel I found my true calling. Fast forward several years and I am now an Account Manager for Eduzone!

How do you like to start your working day?

Having an active dog and very young children, sleep has become a luxury in our household so a typical day starts at 5:00am with a dog walk before breakfast – I try to get as close as I can to 10k daily steps! Then I will make myself a fresh coffee as this tends to set me up for the day.

What are you looking forward to in your new role?

I am delighted to be part of a new and exciting team who know the Early Years market extremely well. I am looking forward to working with early years practitioners from settings of all shapes and sizes in the coming months, we have a unique proposition in the market place so I am confident that Eduzone will become your first choice supplier!

What is your favourite Eduzone product/category/collection?

Having very young children myself, who love outdoor play (and getting covered in mud!), I would have to say our Mud Kitchens would be my favourite products - in particular item X144569.

All three of my daughter's love playing with this type of product in their own Nursery setting, and of course copying Daddy’s great cooking skills!

What makes Eduzone unique?

For me, it's not only our ability to offer over 8,000 different types of products but it’s the fact that we can be a one-stop shop for early years settings.

Our service levels and customer focus within the team really makes us stand out! Our customers can benefit from engaging with a small team who are 100% dedicated in offering them an experience that goes beyond expectations.

What should customers look out for in 2021?

We will be attending Childcare Expo Midlands in Coventry at Ricoh Arena on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 September, where we will be talking about the products, services and packages offered through Eduzone. Come and visit us at stand D12!

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

On my days off I can be found either taking my daughters to ballet or the local park where they all love to climb and scare Mummy and Daddy, and our dog Harry always gets longer walks at the weekends. Other than that, I do love watching films of all varieties but I do have a passion for older films that have undergone a 4k restoration - Jaws and Blade Runner are some of my many favourites!
